Josh McEachran has been allowed to go on a season-long loan by Chelsea to Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem.
The 21-year-old midfielder, from Kirtlington, who signed a five-year contract in 2011 after a bright start to his Blues career, has yet to push on at Stamford Bridge.
McEachran has been on Chelsea’s books since he was a schooboy and made his first-team debut at 17.
He won the FA Youth Cup with Chelsea in 2010 and was part of Gareth Southgate’s young England squad for the Toulon Tournament in May this year.
But with a host of players moving ahead of him, and few first-team opportunities opening up, the England Under 21 international has had loan spells at Swansea, Middles-brough, Watford and Wigan.
A statement from Chelsea read: “We wish Josh well for his time in the Netherlands.”
