ASTON Rowant’s Nick Ferraby has been picked in Oxford University’s team to face Cambridge in the One-Day Varsity match at Lord’s tomorrow (11am).
The Oxford side, who will be hoping to retain their one-day crown, are captained by former Magdalen College School pupil Gus Kennedy, who used to play for Cambridge.
They will be looking to their England Under 19 fast bowler Abe Sakande to make some early breakthroughs. As it is the bicentenary celebration of Lord’s, there will be a presentation of medals to the team and umpires before the match.
While this contest will be played in the Test arena, the women’s One-Day Varsity fixture will be taking place on the neighbouring Nursery Ground (10.45am). In the Oxford side will be Sam Moore, who plays at Abingdon Vale.
