MARTINAS Delight provided Twyford trainer Tim Jarvis with his first winner since he succeeded his father, Alan.
Jarvis jnr took over at Mill Race Stables this month after his father lost his permission to train under the British Horseracing Authority’s ‘fit and proper person’s rule over to a debt to Doncaster Bloodstock Sales Ltd.
Martinas Delight beat Engrossing by a neck in an extended mile and a quarter handicap..
“It was very nice,” said Jarvis. “It was only my third runner, so it was quite good to get off the mark so quick.”
