Bicester Community College’s Jess Cherry celebrated a double at the North Oxfordshire Athletics Trials at Horspath Sports Ground in Oxford.
Cherry took the intermediate girls’ shot title with a national entry distance of 11.14m, which was also a meeting record due to a change in weight.
She completed a successful weekend with victory in the triple jump with 8.96m.
Harrison Leach won the junior boys’ discus with a throw of 25.71m.
He was also second in the javelin.
