Rogue Wave provided Twy-ford trainer Alan Jarvis with a boost as he battles to save his career by winning at Thirsk.
The 75-year-old handler, who will have his appeal against the British Horsera-cing Authority’s decision that he is no longer a suitable person to hold a training licence heard on Tuesday, sent out the three-year-old colt to land a seven-furlong maiden stakes.
Graham Lee always had the 5-2 chance well placed, before sending him into the lead two furlongs from home, and the son of Iffraaj held off Fox-cover to score by half a length.
