A dominant Oakley United lifted the Oxfordshire Senior League President’s Cup for the first time as they ran out 3-0 winners against Mansfield Road.

The Premier Division leaders were fast out of the blocks at Abingdon Town.

Their pressure finally paid off after 20 minutes, when defender Mitchell Meridith stabbed home at a corner.

James Keeble made it 2-0 when Mansfield failed to clear another corner ten minutes later, with the skipper smashing home from 16 yards.

It was more of the same in the second half and two substitutes combined for the third goal to seal victory.

Martin Kinsey made a great run and lifted the ball for strike partner Ben Gray to finish well into the bottom corner.

More than £600 was raised for charity on the day.

Roger Gill struck a 94th-minute equaliser to earn Mansfield Road a 1-1 draw at Bletchingdon in the Premier Division.

Richard Wells had opened the scoring for the hosts from 25 yards.
