Pete Clark made the most of a favourable draw to take the honours in the second match of Littlemore AS’s Spring League at Drayton Leisure, near Banbury.

He drew the peg bang on the island, fishing tight over to catch 20 carp to 5lb on pole with meat and pellet for 58.14.0.

Alan Campbell was on the dam wall and fished the waggler with white boilie for 14 small carp and 28lb 15oz 0 drms.

Third place went to Steve Pitson, who alternated between pole and feeder with pellet to catch carp worth 21.2.0. Seventeen fished.

Beehive AC fished their Larman Shield on a cold and breezy Panshill, the easterly wind slowing sport until the later stages.

Bob Alder triumphed with 73.0.0 of carp to pole and maggot, Bob Hopgood taking runners-up spot with 55.12.0 of carp on pole and meat.

Chris Dingle was third with 55.6.0 of carp to pole and maggot, more than 640lb hitting the scales from the 16 fishing.

Andy Benwell topped the ton to win the latest round of the Predator Spring League, fished by 15 at Stable Lake in Kirtlington.

The FTB-backed angler caught 106.8.0 of carp on long pole and maggot.

Second place went to Henry Clarke (Predator) with 72.0.0 of carp and bream on long pole with worm, while Dave Clarke (FTB) was third with 46.0.0 of carp on pellet waggler and maggot.
