Ardley United's Kevin Brock saluted his players’ professional attitude after their 4-0 win against Kidlington in the Oxfordshire Senior Cup final at the Kassam Stadium last night.

It was the perfect response to being pipped to the Premier Division title by Wantage Town on Monday.

“After losing out on the title this game was very important for us,” said Brock.

“I thought we were very good. In the opening ten minutes I thought Kidlington were better than us, but we gradually got a foothold and played some excellent football.

“I was really pleased with the quality we showed. We have got good pace and we’re very solid without the ball.”

Kidlington’s stand-in manager, Paul Harwood added: “We just didn’t turn up today, we didn’t perform.”
