NATIONAL 2 SOUTH
MATT Williams had a busy afternoon as Chinnor completed their escape from relegation.
Staying up was the brief when Williams joined as director of rugby in February – and he achieved it by two points.
“I have never spent as much of a game checking updates on scores as I did today,” said Williams.
“Obviously, the first thing was for us to win.
“I set the boys a target of getting a four-try bonus point in the first half and they achieved it.
“We started to relax a little bit and then re-focused and did our job.
“Then it was in the hands of the gods and the results have gone our way and we’re safe.”
