Bletchingdon let a two-goal lead slip as they went down to a 6-2 defeat at Riverside in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division on Saturday.

The visitors looked to be on their way to victory when Joe Goodgame and Ryan Ives gave them a two-goal start.

However, it all went wrong as Riverside hit back to go in at the break in front, thanks to a double from Marlon James and a Carly Bloomfield strike.

The pair completed hat-tricks in the second half to seal a comfortable win.

Charlton United crashed 6-0 at Broug-hton & North Newington in Division 1.

They were 5-0 down by the interval, with goals from Jonny Hopcraft (2), Johnathon Bedding (2) and Kevin Cooper.

Hopcraft completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot in the second half.

Premier Division leaders Oakley Uni-ted eased to a 4-2 win against Kidlington Res in the semi-finals of the President’s Cup, with goals from Shayne Almond, Kieron Smith and Nick Gurney.

Callum Green (penalty) had equalised for Kidlington, with Shayne Allmond their other marksman.

Oakley now face Mansfield Road in their second successive final after they beat Chalgrove 4-1 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 after extra time.

Bletchingdon Res saw their Ivor Gub-bins Cup hopes ended by a 3-1 defeat at North Oxford Res whose scorers were Nolan Aselford (2) and Craig McMahon did the damage, while Bletchingdon replied through Phil McCabe’s own goal.
