Updated 6:45pm Thursday 13th March 2014 in Sport
Launton Sports’ woes near the foot of the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division table continued as went down to a 1-0 defeat at Marston Saints second half substitute Josh Carr scoring the winner.
Carr had been on for just ten minutes when he fired home what proved to be the decisive goal for the visitors.
Two defensive mistakes from Bletchingdon contributed to a 3-1 home defeat by Horspath.
The visitors led 2-0 at half time, thanks to the howlers.
Paul Cooper scored first from the penalty spot after he had been fouled following a pass straight to him by a Bletchingdon defender.
Then Elliott O’Brien netted after a Bletchingdon centre half fell over.
In the second half, Horspath deservedly scored a third through O’Brien, before Bletchingdon’s Todd Parker Hunt pulled one back, but the damage was done.
Bletchingdon Res thum-ped Marston Saints Res 4-1.
Tom Williams grabbed two early goals and though Tej Constant pulled one back, Garth Davies and Jordan Gray sealed it.
Daniel Barrett grabbed a treble in Oakley United’s 4-1 home win against North Oxford Res in Division 3. Tom Hutchinson replied.
Launton Res crashed to a 3-0 defeat away to Yarnton Res.
Callam Grant, Jake and Jamie Cattell were on target for the hosts.
