A SECOND-HALF hat-trick from Cameron Stephens helped Cumnor Minors come from behind to see off the challenge of visitors Grove Challengers 5-3 in the Under 14 C League.

Grove were 3-2 up at half-time thanks to Sam Cotterill’s treble, but goals from Tom Wixey and Dominic Taylor ensured that Cumnor remained in touch.

Cumnor then overturned the deficit in magnificent style after the break as Stephens helped himself to three unanswered goals.

Crowmarsh Comets narrowly edged a tight game 1-0 at home to Kennington Athletic.

Josh Burtenshaw calmly converted from the penalty spot to give the hosts victory after Lewis Harding had been felled in the penalty area.

Under 13 B league Ardley United overcame the odds to beat A League Grove Challengers 4-1 away from home to advance to the quarter finals of the Knockout Cup.

The hosts took the lead through Will Starling but a quick double from Alex D’Silva put United in control.

Craig Dawson gave Ardley their third goal before the break and Ashley Thompson emphatically fired in the fourth in the second half.

Botley were crowned Under 10 Knockout Cup champions after edging a tense penalty shootout 3-1 against Summertown Stars Quarks.

Zack Morey shot through a forest of legs to give Botley a 1-0 lead, but the tie was destined to be decided from the spot after Jimmy Halliday equalised for Quarks in the second half.
