OXFORDSHIRE’S Brittany Egden helped England Under 15 Schoolgirls to a resounding 8-0 win over the Republic of Ireland in a friendly at Maidstone United.
The 14-year-old defender, who goes to Marlborough School, Woodstock, came on as a substitute for her international debut with 30 minutes to go when England were leading 2-0.
Playing at right back, she was involved in the build-up to two of the goals as England scored six more before the final whistle.
Now Egden, from Yarnton, who plays for Oxford United girls, can look forward to representing her country again in the Bob Docherty Cup at Repton School in Derbyshire from April 14-17.
