Gus Kennedy hit a hat-trick as Oxford University’s men came from behind to beat Great Britain’s women 4-1 in an exhibition match at Iffley Road last night.
The GB women, who won bronze at the 2012 Olympics in London, held a half-time lead following Sophie Bray’s 35th-minute strike.
But the Dark Blues men came back strongly in the second half, and Oliver Sugg equalised with a drag flick from a short corner in the 43rd minute.
Kennedy put Oxford ahead a minute later, before scoring twice more in the 63rd and 65th minutes to complete his treble in front of a crowd of about 300.
