Launton Sports’ misery in the Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division continued as they went down to a 3-1 home defeat against Freeland.

The visitors started the stronger and led through Danny Taylor’s 20th-minute goal, but should have been clear by half time.

Launton came out fired up for the second half and equalised through Andy Gledhill.

However, Freeland nosed ahead via Taylor again and Simon Calley tied it up.

Charlton United lost 2-1 to Middleton Cheney in their Division 1 clash.

A Steve Twynham double put Middleton in control.

Charlton pulled a goal back through a Craig Barrett header on 75 minutes, but they could not find an equaliser.

Charlton Res were thumped 4-1 at Yarnton Res in Division 3.

Yarnton took the lead through Mark Harris and Jason Condor added a second.

After the break, Yarnton extended their advantage through Connor Grant and Harris added his second before Chris Staker pulled one back with a solo effort.

Bletchingdon Res drew 4-4 at home to Horspath Res in Group A of the Archie Goddard Cup.

Bletchingdon led through a Tom Williams penalty after five minutes, but Jack Munt quickly equalised.

Gareth Davies put Bletchingdon ahead again, before Jon Maskens levelled.

Williams and Munt efforts wiped each other out before Horspath led for the first time through Maskens.

However, they couldn’t hold on and Davies equalised near the end.
