Harrison Ridge showed the form that has taken him to No 9 age group ranking in United Kingdom by winning the LTA Grade 3 tournament at Bisham Abbey.

The reigning Oxfordshire under 14 champion, from Henley, found it tough going in the final against Oscar Glenister, from Bucks.

Ridge took the first set 6-1, then lost 5-7 before winning the tie-break 10-6.

Meanwhile, Cameron Murphy, from the host club, secured his first tournament win when he took the 14 & under boys title at Virgin Active Oxford’s Grade 5 event on Sunday.

Murphy beat Alex Honey, from Oxford, 5-4, 4-0 in the final.

Omar Noia-Rodriguez, from Abingdon, won the consolation event 5-4, 4-1 against Toby Warren, from Berkshire, in a tournament badly disrupted by the weather.

Oxford Sports extended their lead at the top of the Thames Valley Winter Lea-gue Premier Division to six points with a 7-1 victory at home to Norham Gardens.

Second-placed North Oxford lost ground when they won 5-3 in a high-quality match away to Thame.

Colston B’s 7-1 win against third-placed Norham B, ex-tended their lead at the top of Division 5 to 15 points.

In Ladies Division 2, Chol-sey B jumped into second and promotion contention with an 8-0 thumping of Goring B.
