Miles Davis was the star when Bicester Blue Fins staged their annual club presentation night at Highfield Social Club.

The eight-year-old, who had debilitating treatment for cancer last year, lifted the Beckett Cup for most improved boy, competing in five club championship races, where he recorded five personal bests.

Kieran Bird, the 14-year-old boys champion, won six open trophies and was named ‘Swimmer of the Year’ for their first silver medal at the nationals in Sheffield.

Georgia Tagg collected five individual awards as well as the 15-year-old girls’ champion shield, while 10-year-old girls’ champion Lottie Wynne-Jones won four individual awards, as well as picking up the ‘Most Improved Age 10 and Under’ award.

Women’s open champion Ellie Bunce won four awards, and 11-year-old girls’ champion Tabitha Watkins won two trophies and the‘Most Improved 13 Year Old Girl’ award.

Other winners included Cerys King, Tom Thornley and Oliver Inness.
