Matt Duncalf scored four tries as Bicester hammered Slough 79-6 at Oxford Road in the BB&O Premier Division.

Bicester took advantage of playing in the division’s only match to survive the wet weather to strengthen their grip on second place with a 13-try demolition.

Max Miles had put the visitors ahead with a penalty, which was soon cancelled out when Dan Spencer went over after a quickly-taken penalty.

Chris Harley scampered across for Bicester’s second try, which was converted by Mike Harris.

Miles cut Bicester’s lead to six points with a penalty, but the hosts went further ahead when Duncalf charged under the posts for his first try, Spencer converting.

Duncalf went across in the right corner with his second before flanker Niall Morrow and prop Dave Behan combined to send Steve Miller in for his first try.

Winger Rob Arthur finished off a sumptuous cross-handling move go over on the right, Spencer converting.

Fly half Jos Edwards darted across the line as a rampant Bicester went into the break 41-7 up.

Early in the second half, Duncalf completed his hat-trick with Spencer adding the conversion.

Duncalf sealed his haul after a Slough defender fumbled a chip-kick, Spencer converting.

Miller completed his double after good combination work from replacement Josh Young and Harley.

Spencer sealed his treble, before kicking his fifth conversion.

Replacement hooker Philip Small got in on the act.

Spencer limped off with an ankle injury.

Harley completed the try fest, Harris converting by way of a drop-kick to make it five wins in a row.

On Saturday, Bicester face a trip to Tadley.

Alchester’s Southern Counties North trip to Swindon College Old Boys was postponed.

This weekend they are due to travel to Reading Abbey.
