OXFORD City Stars face a crucial double-header this weekend when they will bid to go three points clear at the top of the English National League South Division 2 table.
Stars are a point behind leaders Slough Jets, but can steal a march on their rivals, who are not in action.
And with the matches away to Swindon Wildcats 2nd today and at home to Lee Valley Lions tomorrow (6.15) the only time Stars will be in action this month, victories are crucial.
Oxford are missing Mason Wild, Warren Jones and Jeff Sykora, but have a strong 24-man squad.
Swindon could move level on points with Stars if they win today’s clash and the Wildcats welcome back 16-year-old sensation Michael Stratford, who has already been named in Great Britain’s Under 18 side.
Stars will have a point to prove against Lee Valley, who won their first game of the season at Oxford earlier this campaign.
Just four points separate the top six clubs in the table.
