Bicester men’s MBBO League Division 1 promotion charge suffered a dent as they were held to a 4-4 draw at home by Banbury 2nd.

The hosts went ahead when Dave Sutcliffe slotted home Jonny Reid’s far-post cross.

Although Banbury levelled, Sutcliffe restored the hosts’ lead with his second goal of the game.

Banbury made it all square, before Reid made it 3-2.

The visitors equalised after the break, only for Michael Stark to make it 4-3 with his first goal for the club.

But a late strike saw Banbury secure a share of the spoils.

A superb late stop on the line from Tom Butler saw Bicester 2nd hold on for a 1-1 at home to Milton Keynes 4th in their Division 5 clash.

Trailing to a second-half goal, a brilliant solo run and cool finish from centre forward Ben Kirk brought Bicester level.

Bicester earned a string of penalty corners, as the visitors grew increasingly physical, but Bicester failed to take advantage.

And they would have paid the price for their lack of finishing were it not for Butler’s last-gasp heroics.

Nick Styles hammered a hat-trick as Bicester 3rd won 7-2 win Oxford Hamsters 2nd in Division 9.

Steve Huscombe netted a double, with Ben Hughes and Andy Kay were also on target.

Bicester 4th triumphed 2-0 at home to Sonning 6th in the same division.

Ash Ellieson and Johnny Winspear did the damage for the hosts.

Bicester Ladies let slip the lead as they were edged out 2-1 at Trysports Three Coun-ties League Premier 1 table-toppers Amersham & Chalfont.

After absorbing some severe home pressure, Kath Crook put the visitors ahead, but two second-half strikes saw Amersham hit back for victory.

Bicester 2nd lost 2-0 at Sonning 3rd who took over at the top of Division 2 as a result.

Bicester 3rd went down to a 1-0 defeat at Oxford 6th in Division 5.
