Witney & District finished runners-up to Linslade in the Chiltern League first round at the Tiddenfoot Leisure Centre, Leighton Buzzard.
Chloe Morris, 13, recorded personal best times in the ladies’ open 100m freestyle and individual medley, but her efforts failed to count as she went ‘too fast’ in the time-banded gala.
Ellan Swann, 11, in the 50m backstroke, Lee Hird, 14, in the 50m backstroke and Maja Sikorska, ten, in the 50m freestyle, also shone.
Witney winners: M Leese, E Browne, I Fraser, A Billington, H Townsend.
Result: 1 Linslade 176, 2 Witney 166, 3 Letchworth 160, 4 Flitwick 151, 5 Kidlington & Gosford 138, 6 Bletchley 116.
