Ed Gronbech, one of their youngest members, stole the show at Oxford City Road Cycling Club’s dinner and presentation night.

The 14-year-old collected three cups, including one for the most improved junior and the hilly trophy.

Meanwhile, following his most successful season in the local club time trial schedule, Paul Hardy collected the clubs time trial points competition, 25-mile handicap cup and hill climb competition.

Club chairman Howard Waller picked up a large selection of awards including most of the clubs longer distance and veterans standard trophies.

Simon Hudson, relatively new to the sport, was presented the most improved ten-mile time trial award.

Robert West scooped the fastest 25 and 50-miles time trial prizes in what was a breakthrough season.

Presentations were made by the club’s new president Keith Williams, who also picked up a new age 74 ten- mile time trial club record, with a time of 27mins 16secs.
