DAN Studley secured a top-20 placing while running for England at the Cross Internacional Italica in Seville, Spain.

The 22-year-old Oxford Brookes University student finished 18th in the men’s race, clocking 34mins 4secs for the 10.8km course.

Studley said: “It was easily one of the best races I’ve been a part of.

“I was tenth of the European athletes and second amongst the four-strong England team.

“It was another fantastic experience and opportunity with the national team and I look forward to many more in the near future.”

He added: “I was very pleased with my time on a tricky, technical course with two 180-degree turns and five or six 90-degree turns.

“It means I was through 10k in around 30.40.”
