Jamie McCuaig hit a hat-trick as Barton United topped Group A in the Heldey Toms/Michael Brown Trophy with a 7-3 victory at winless Railway Wheatley, writes DARYL RIDGLEY.

Ben Cuff struck twice and Harry Jenkins and Luke Cuff also netted, while Aaron Lehman, Ashley Buttress and Sean Liptrott were on target for Railway.

Zubry Oxford were comfortable 3-1 winners at Northway.
Michal Kraszewski, Marcin Walendowski and Adrzej Krason did the damage for Zubry, with Northway’s lone reply coming from Rob Hatt.

Division 1 leaders Freeland Yeoman earned a 2-2 draw at home to Premier Division outfit Cowley Marsh Eagles in Group B.

Chris Turkeman netted a hat-trick, Chris Swayeles and Steve Gunn scored two each and there were also goals from Max Mohan-Triggle and Martin Dawson.

Max Palmer and Michael Hutton were on target for the hosts, but it was little consolation.

The visitors had taken the lead through Mike Hooton, but found themselves 2-1 down thanks to goals from Franks Haynes and Craig Davis.

Exiles then struck back, Russ Madley levelling with a diving header before Hooton bagged a second and Adam Godwin also scored.

Kev Secker pulled a goal back for Black Swan before Dewar’s late spot-kick ensured the sides shared the points.
