Sheryl Webb hit a double as Bicester ladies 2nd started 2014 in style with a 5-0 home thrashing of Maidenhead 3A in Trysports Three Counties League Division 2 on Saturday.

The hosts were quickly into their stride.

They went ahead when Charlotte Cochrane fired home after good combination work between Kirsty McKe-nna and Emily Hill following a penalty corner.

Bicester doubled their lead when Hill set off down the pitch before firing home.

The hosts should have added to their tally, but Webb could not convert Charlie Humphries’ penalty corner.

After the break, Webb made it 3-0 with a straight strike from a short corner.

Webb then doubled her tally with a smart finish from Amy Olah’s pass.

Bicester completed their nap hand with a dramatic strike.

Webb charged into the D where she collided with the Maidenhead keeper and a defender, but not before finding Humphries, who slotted into an open goal.

Bicester’s first team ship-ped a late goal as they lost 1-0 at Aylesbury in Premier 1.

The visitors bossed the first half, but could not turn their dominance into goals.

However, Aylesbury came more into the game after the break and went ahead five minutes from time.

Bicester 3rd let slip a 2-0 advantage as they went down to a 6-2 defeat at home to Marlow 4th in Division 5.

The hosts went in front when Louise Walker fired in following a short corner.

Bicester doubled their lead when Nicky Willers Cameron scored following another set-piece.

But that was as good as it got for the hosts as Marlow scored four goals without reply to complete Bicester’s miserable day.
