Bletchingdon Res ran out 3-1 winners at home to Stonesfield Res in Division 2 of the Oxfordshire Senioor League.
In a programme badly hit by the recent bad weather, Stuart Wells headed Bletchingdon into a 20th-minute lead.
And it got better for Bletchingdon when Tom Williams doubled their advantage before the break.
Darren King put Bletchingdon further ahead ten minutes into the second half, with Louis Stayte pulling one back for Stones-field.
But the damage had been done.
Charlton United went down to a disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Middleton Cheney in Division 1.
A goal from Josh Hart early in the second half was enough to earn the hosts victory.
Meanwhile, Abba Athl-etic were knocked out of the Critchleys Upper Thames Valley League’s Ridge-way Cup at the third-round stage.
It followed a 3-2 defeat at Woodstock Wanderers.
It looked good for the visitors when Mark Goode and Rickie Faloon found the net. But their efforts were in vain as Steve Foreman’s treble sealed Wanderers’ passage.
