JAMIE McCuaig netted five times as Barton United swept aside Northway 11-1 in Group A of the Hedley Toms Cup, writes DARYL RIDGLEY.

Matty Jacobs added a brace for the hosts and there were goals from Luke Cuff, Harry Jenkins, Benji Cuff and Richard Hathaway, while Northway’s sole response came from Michael Yearwood.

AFC Jericho beat Zubry Oxford 3-1 at home, with two goals from Ben Curtis and another from Gavin Hastings.

Zubry’s reply came from a Sam Caruthers own goal.

Freeland Yeoman recovered from last week’s 8-1 drubbing to beat Iffley Harriers 2-1 in Group B.

Ewen McWhirter netted for the hosts, but Danny Taylor struck twice for Yeoman.

A Richard Morgan brace and an Andrew Cummins effort gave AFC Valley a 3-1 win at home to Sporting Headingon Academicals, whose consolation effort was scored by Tim Wright.

In the Ridgeway Cup, a James Carlini hat-trick helped Milton Midgets upset Division 2 side Sutton Wanderers 4-3 away from home in their third round tie.

Chris Stringer, Luke French and Dave Hansen all scored for the hosts, but it was not enough, as Luke Mitchell added to Carlini’s treble to send Milton through.

Mark Goode and Rickie Faloon were on target for Abba Athletic against Woodstock Wanderers, but their efforts were in vain as a superb hat-trick from Steve Foreman secured Wanderers’ passage to the next round with a 3-2 victory.

Forest Hill beat Dilly United 4-2 thanks to a Paul Coles brace and goals from Matt Wigley and Lewis Gerring.

Jack Butler and Marcus Hutt ensured the visitors of a respectable scoreline.

Green Tree Wallingford edged past The Village Inn 2-1 with goals from Dan Robinson and Gav Sutherland.
