Jess Lythgoe edged out Oxfordshire teammate Taysie Gujral to win the 16 & under girls’ singles title in the Grade 4 indoor event at Abingdon’s White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre.
Lythgoe won 6-3, 4-6 and 10-7 in the final set tie-break after the Our Lady’s Abingdon classmates battled it out for almost two and a half hours.
Meanwhile, brother and sister Anand and Asha Badiani will both play at No 1 for Oxfordshire in the 16 & under 12 Counties Tournament at Corby Tennis Centre this weekend.
