Banbury United boss Edwin Stein is without four key players for the Puritans’ Calor League Premier Division match at home to sixth-placed Stourbridge tomorrow.

Wayne Blossom, Scott Bridges and Kynan Isaac are all suspended, while Albi Skendi is out injured.

“They’re all tremendous assets for the club and we won’t have them around,” said Stein.

“We’ve had lots of suspensions lately and that’s played its part because it’s been a case of patching up the side.

“But despite that I believe that we can put a side together that can beat them and it’s a tremendous opportunity for the other players to stake a claim.

“I’ve had so many chew my ears off in recent weeks and here’s their chance to prove themselves.”

Didcot Town joint manager Ian Concannon believes that the Railwaymen now have the confidence to push up the table ahead of their trip to fellow Division 1 South & West strugglers Thatcham Town.

It follows successive wins against North Leigh, whom they beat 2-1 on Boxing Day and Cinderford Town whom they defeated 3-2 in a thriklling encounter 48 hours later.

“Back-to-back wins are absolutely huge for us, to be honest,” he said. “We’re three games unbeaten and we’ve picked up seven points from a possible nine, so we’ll go there full of confidence and looking to win.”

Kameron Abbassi and Pablo Haysham are suspended.

North Leigh host Bishops Cleeve looking to end a run of four defeats.
