Bicester stretched their winning run to four matches in MBB & O Division 1 with a 4-1 home hammering of Wycombe 2nd.

Dave Sutcliffe opened the scoring for the second-placed hosts in the first minute from a short corner as he struck low and hard into the goal via a deflection off the defender’s foot.

Bicester dominated the first half but could not find another goal.

It was not until midway through the second half that they doubled their lead.

Stuart Moore and Sutcliffe combined before the latter’s cross found Jonny Reid, who dinked the ball over the goalkeeper and into the net.

Jon Rodger made it 3-0, ending a jinking run with a shot into the top corner.

After Wycombe scored from a short corner, Bicester sealed victory, thanks to a smart finish into the bottom corner from Stu Locke following a short corner.

A much-depleted Bicester 2nd went down to a 6-2 defeat at Leighton Buzzard 2nd in Division 5.

Forced to field only nine players, Bicester went 2-0 down early on.

But despite the odds, goals from James Pilgrim and then Rob Charlton sent them in level at the break.

That was as as good as it got for Bicester, who shipped four second-half goals.

Bicester 3rd strolled to a 3-0 win at basement boys Meadhurst in Division 9.

Nick Styles fired the visitors ahead, rifling home a shot from the top of the D.

After the break, a brace from Steve Birtles helped Bicester seal victory.

The result saw Bicester stay second in the league on goal difference.

Bicester Ladies 3rd went down to a 2-0 home defeat against Wallingford 4th in Division 5.
