DAN Hamilton was the first Oxfordshire man home in round three of the Apex Sports Chiltern Cross Country League at Campbell Park, Milton Keynes.
Abingdon’s Hamilton finished tenth, completing the five-mile course in 27mins 46secs.
Oxford City’s Julian Richardson was the leading vet 40 man, finishing 17th in 28.13 to top the Division 2 rankings.
Abingdon’s Kie Francis (5.54) came sixth in the under 11 boys’ race.
MELISSA Hawtin finished fourth in round two of the Midland Women’s League at Aldersley Leisure Village, Wolverhampton.
Running as a guest, the Oxford City athlete was 35 seconds behind the winner in 22.59.
DAVID Kuester ended his year with victory in the Midlands (British) Masters Throwers Group (MMTG) Christmas Throwers Pentathlon at Derby’s Moorways Stadium.
The Bicester athlete finished first in the vet 65 category with a total of 2,918 points, winning all five of his disciplines.
