FOOTBALL: Concannon and Heapy in charge
11:00am Monday 4th November 2013 in Sport
Didcot Town have appointed Ian Concannon and Jamie Heapy their new joint managers.
They take over from Andy Wallbridge, who resigned last month.
The duo both played in the Didcot team which won the FA Vase in 2005 and the Hellenic League a year later.
Since retiring, Concannon has managed Hungerford Town Reserves and recently had a spell at Milton United.
Heapy, who has played more than 800 games for the club, recently returned to training after knee surgery.
Didcot are three places off the bottom of the Calor League South & West Division with just two wins in 12 games.
Concannon said: “Jamie and I are extremely proud to be offered the opportunity of managing a club that we both hold in the highest regard.
“We know the scale of the challenge ahead of us. But we don’t underestimate how tough it will be and what’s expected of us.
“We will be looking to confirm the make-up of our management team in due course.”
