1:00pm Thursday 31st October 2013 in Sport
Danny Bone smashed five goals as Bletchingdon blew visitors Hanborough away 10-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Oxfordshire Charity Cup.
The Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division hosts had one foot in the next round as they went into half-time with a 5-1 lead.
Hanborough, from the Witney & District FA, briefly threatened a comeback as they made it 5-3, before Bletchingdon went up a gear.
Ben Foster hit a hat-trick, while Mark Gaul and Andy McMahon sealed the rout. Joe Burgess, Craig Johnson and Will Potter replied.
Charlton United crashed out after a 5-1 thrashing by Premier Division side Oxford University Press.
The Division 1 side had no answer to OUP.
Ben Strong opened the scoring from long range and the home side stretched their lead in the first half with goals from Sam Wharton and Neil Lockyer.
Daniel Sweeney pulled a goal back for Charlton, but Wharton’s second and substitute Aaron Hall rounded off the victory.
A hat-trick from Andrew Gledhill led Launton Sports to a 6-2 win at Yarnton.
The home side paid for missing early chances and they were punished by Gledhill.
Nick Allsworth notched a brace and Michael Hicks added another, making Steven Litten’s double for Yarnton just a consolation.
The game was held up for 20 minutes due to serious injury to Yarnton’s Ashley Bishop.
In the Oxfordshire Senior League, Bletchingdon Res stunned Division 2 leaders Mansfield Road Res as they came from two goals down to win 3-2 away.
Goals from Ibrahim Mara and Simon Dickie in the first half appeared to put Mansfield Road on the way to another victory.
But the visitors hit back to turn the game on its head in the space of ten minutes.
Darren King, Danny Evans and Stuart Well struck to claim a dramatic three points.
A blistering start set Oakley United Res on course for a 5-1 win at Watlington Res.
Most of the damage was done early on, as Oakley built on a first-minute goal to lead 4-0 inside 20 minutes.
Dean Boyles ended with three and there were goals for Darren Gascoigne and Ashley Sheward. Watlington’s reply came via an own goal.
Tom Hooper converted a penalty to give North Oxford Res a 2-1 win at Charlton United Res.
James Manning put the away side in front, but Steven McLaughlin equalised for Charlton.
A tight game was decided by Hooper’s penalty 20 minutes from time.
