Council stick to their guns

OXFORD City Council have upheld their decision to make the Kassam Stadium an asset of community value.
Owners Firoka appealed the ruling, which was passed in May, to make it the first football ground in the country to be protected by the legislation.
It means United’s supporters’ trust OxVox, who originally applied for the move, must be informed in the event the ground is put up for sale or a bid is received.
