BB&O PREMIER DIVISION
GOSFORD All Blacks hung on to beat Bicester 25-22 at Oxford Road.
The visitors scored all their points in the first half, which they led 25-10, and were down to 13 players at the final whistle after prop Tony Baughan and flanker Dan Hughes were sin-binned.
Gosford fly half Harry Sutton cut through for the opening try, but Bicester full back Josh Young replied in kind after a strong run from captain Dan Spencer.
Wing Tim Ellis slotted a penalty for the visitors before converting Sutton’s second try after the fly half won the race to his kick ahead.
Gosford led 22-5 after Sutton, Rhys Hayward and Ellis combined for Hayward to score and Ellis to convert.
Ellis added a penalty, but Bicester prop Dave Behan went over just before half-time.
Spencer ran in Bicester’s third try after they took a scrum against the head.
The same player went over again for Bicester and fly half Steve Risbridger converted for 25-22.
Bicester had hooker Jake Holdsworth sin-binned, but kept on pressing.
Gosford, however, defended bravely, even when down to 13 men, to take the points.
No 8 Darren Massey scored a hat-trick of tries as Littlemore won 39-31 at Aylesbury Athletic, but their injury jinx continued.
Lock Nick Church went off after 20 minutes with a medial ligament tear to his knee.
Jake Dawson put Littlemore ahead with a penalty, but the lead changed hands several times.
Captain Darren Warne, Darrell Rendell and a penalty try made up Littlemore’s tally, with Dawson converting three.
Chipping Norton lost 29-5 at Slough.
