Judd's knock keeps Westbury on course

Graham Judd hit an unbeaten 98 as Westbury kept up their quest for the OCA League Division 1 title with a six-wicket win at home to East & West Hendred on Saturday.
The result means they are 15 points ahead of second-placed Shrivenham, whom they travel on September 14, on the last day of the campaign in what could decide the destiny of the championship.
Hendred rattled up a decent total of 214-6 as Jason Briggs scored 55 and Jack Mulford 46.
But Judd’s heroics, aided by a fine 47 from Tom Boardman, saw the hosts to victory at 215-4.
Marsh Gibbon found Qaiser Naveed too hot to handle as they were thrashed by 129 runs at leaders Cowley Internationals, who all but wrapped up the Division 2 title. Naveed’s magnificent 114 led Cowley to 210-4 declared, before Umair Ghazali took 5-31 to dismiss Marsh Gibbon for 81.
In Division 3, Westcott went down to a 36-run defeat at home to Combe, who stayed in title contention.
Chris Moore (48) top-scored in Combe’s 205-5, and then Robbie Nicholson took 3-23 as Westcott were bowled out for 169, Dale Sweetman hitting 76.
Chesterton’s trip to Wantage was abandoned due to rain.
Brill lost by nine wickets at home to Sunningwell in Division 6.
Andy Claydon took 4-16 and James Stacey 3-30 as Brill were shot out for 61. Nigel Lovell scored 40 not out to lead Sunningwell to 63-1.
Westbury 2nd stayed clear at the top after hosts Uffington 2nd conceded their match, handing Westbury maximum points.
Chesterton 2nd went down to a three-wicket defeat at Division 8 title-chasers Chipping Norton 2nd.
Mark Jarvis took 4-32 to help dismiss Chesterton for 118.
Chipping Norton lost wickets regularly in their reply, but edged home at 119-7.
