ATHLETICS: Kuester in the medals

Bicester David Kuester won one silver and two bronze medals in the British Masters Athletic Federation (BMAF) Winter Throws Championships at Lee Valley.

Kuester finished second in the vet 65 javelin with a throw of 32.45m.

And he collected shot put and discus bronze with respective distances of 9.66 and 31.93.

Bicester’s James Min-chin and Tom Gould represented Oxfordshire in the Inter-Counties Cross Cou-ntry Championships at Cofton Park, Birmingham at the weekend.

Minchin came home 192nd in the under 20 men’s race, clocking 31m-ins 56secs, while Gould was 274th in the under 15 event crossing the line in a time of 20.09.
