SOUTH & WEST COUNTIES YOUTH CHAMPIONSHIP
DECLAN Shepperd bagged a brace as Oxfordshire Under 18s kept their hopes alive of a championship final play-off place with a 3-0 win over Berks & Bucks at Burnham.
After weathering early pressure, Oxon gradually gained the upper hand as the first half ended goalless. But the visitors made their dominance count with three goals in five minutes soon after the break.
Shepperd opened the scoring in the 54th minute after receiving a pass from Julius Muraga.
Two minutes later, Shepperd was fouled in the penalty area, before getting up to send the keeper the wrong way from the spot.
Muraga sealed victory in the 59th minute when he raced through to net.
