FOOTBALL: Tiago is hero for Bardwell

Tiago Goncalves bagged a brace as Bardwell fought back to draw 2-2 at home to Charlton & District in the Giles Sports Under 11 Witney Youth Purple Supplementary League.

Bardwell took the lead in the first half, when Filip Kinczewski's corner reached the back post and Goncalves stuck the ball into the bottom corner.

Charlton levelled just before half time before taking a 2-1 lead, but Goncalves levelled to grab a share of the spoils.

A strike from Dan Stevens proved in vain as Launton’s six-match unbeaten run in the Under 14 League came to an end at Carterton.

Stevens gave the visitors the lead, poking home after Carterton failed to deal with a Simon Lee corner, only for the hosts to hit back for victory.

Charlie Howlett scored the winner for Bardwell in a 1-0 success at Wychwood in the Under 9 Green League.

The goal came in the second half when a pass from substitute Franek Kinczewski found Howlett, who smashed the ball home.
