Kath Crooks scored a late equaliser as Bicester ladies held Oxford University to a 1-1 draw in Trysports Three Counties Premier 1 on Saturday.

Bicester went behind before the break following a slick corner routine.

The hosts levelled when Ella Weston’s pass picked out Crooks who placed the ball behind the keeper to salvage a point.

Chelsea Cochrane hit the winner five minutes from time for Bicester 2nd as they edged to a 1-0 victory against Oxford Hawks 4th in Division 2.

Bicester men 2nd suffered a 3-2 defeat at Maidenhead 2nd in MBB&O Division 5.

They went behind with Maidenhead’s first attack, but levelled when Jonny Reid’s shot deflected off a defender’s stick over the keeper.

Maidenhead regained the lead, but Bicester again equalised.

A good move involving Jeff Elliott, CJ Birtles and Stu Locke saw Harry Gaunt tap in at the far post.

However, Maidenhead then grabbed the winner to end Bicester’s hopes of salvaging a draw.

Bicester 3rd stayed top of Division 9 with a 3-2 win at home to Oxford Hamsters.

The hosts dominated the opening exchanges, but went behind following a sloppy clearance.

After the break, Bicester piled on the pressure and were rewarded when Nobby Styles converted a classic passing penalty corner routine to level it up.

Stuart Goodacre converted a slipped pass penalty corner to put Bicester ahead.

Although Hamsters equalised for 2-2, Styles’ second sealed victory as Bicester maintained their unbeaten run.
