ATHLETICS: Kuester on song

David Kuester won two gold medals in the South of England Veterans Indoor Championships at Lee Valley.

The Bicester athlete triumphed in the vet 65 long jump with 3.43m and shot put with 9.56m.

Kuester, 68, said: “Due to my recovering right knee after surgery last October, I decided against entering the indoor pentathlon as I did not feel confident enough to do the 60m hurdles!”
