OXFORD MAIL GIRLS LEAGUE

STONESFIELD Strikers reached the Under 14 League Cup quarter-finals after beating Summertown Stars 3-2 on penalties.

Beth Stansfield put Stonesfield ahead, but Ella Burt equalised to make it 1-1 at full-time.

Milly Booth, Rachel Everett and Courtney Hadland scored penalties for Strikers, while Kate Hunter saved three from Summertown, for whom Issy Rundle, Issy MacCallum had netted.

Five-girl Kidlington avoided defeat for the first time this season with a 1-1 draw at Wantage in Group A of the Under 10 League Cup.

Jasmine Tranter put Kidlington ahead with a free-kick, but Olivia Day levelled.
