RUGBY LEAGUE: Roden handed dual role
10:00am Tuesday 26th February 2013 in Sport
Martin Roden
FORMER Wigan, Leigh and Oldham hooker Martin Roden has joined Oxford Rugby League.
He will combine playing with being Oxford’s assistant and fitness coach.
“I’m delighted to be part of Oxford RL,” said Roden.
“Rugby League is in my blood and to be given an opportunity to be part of something historic in Oxford is an honour.
“I’m looking forward to working with the club’s partners on the fitness and analysis side.”
Roden has a degree in sports science and works full-time in his own gym.
He added: “I’ve worked as a player under some top coaches, but the thought of our link with Wakefield Wildcats and Oxford Brookes University is very exciting.”
