Bicester were left to rue missed kicks in a 20-17 defeat away to Hungerford in their BB&O Premier Division clash on Saturday.
Dan Spencer squandered two very kickable penalties and a conversion, while Yamika Banda was off target with a straight-forward penalty in the second half.
Full back Ian Alexander put Hungerford ahead with a penalty, but Bicester replied with a try from flanker Niall Morrow.
Alexander converted a try from No 8 Max Andrews and added a penalty after the break.
Hungerford stormed into a 20-5 lead when Dom Taylor finished a slick move, Alex-ander converting.
Spencer gave Bicester hope with a try that Banda converted and was driven across for a second effort that secured a losing bonus point.
Alchester had a day to forget as they lost 54-7 at Olney in Southern Counties North, with fly half Tom Miles converting his own try.
