BILLIARDS: Abingdon scrape to narrow victory

Abingdon Conservative Club hung on by the skin of their teeth to win 2-1 at Cowley Conservative B and stay top of Division 1 in the Gentworks Oxford & District League.
Matty Bramall (+30) put Abingdon ahead by winning 200-156 against Jack Woods (+90), but Brian Mabbutt (+30) levelled for Witney by beating Gordon Cook (+50).
In the third match, Abingdon’s Lee Pratley (+70) scraped past Ken Olive (+80) 150-136.
