AUNT SALLY: Bicester lose out

Bicester went down 2-1 to Deddington in a nail-biting Neil West Memorial Cup final in the Banbury Indoor League.

With the match all-square at 1-1, Bicester were pipped 24-22 in the deciding leg.

Bicester had taken the opener 22-17, only for Dedd-ington to level with a 24-13 victory.

Darren Kettle starred for Deddington with 14 dolls, including a six in the last leg. In the semi-finals, Bic-ester beat Banbury 2-0.

Phil Allen hit a six as Bicester took the first leg 19-10, and then five as the second leg was tied 16-16, before they triumphed 6-5 on three sticks.

Bicester had opened their challenge with a 2-0 win over George in the quarter-finals.
