Jefferson Louis, Wrexham's much-travelled striker, is hoping he can repeat his opening-day feat and score against another of his former clubs.

The 29-year-old former Thame United and Oxford United centre forward notched one of the goals last week in Wrexham's 5-0 win over Stevenage, where he played from 2005-6.

The 6ft 2in forward, who has been at 12 different clubs since leaving the Kassam Stadium in 2004, said: "Hopefully we'll get another good result. I was delighted to score on my home debut against Stevenage and it would be nice to get another against Oxford.

"I've been at quite a few clubs, but they were my favourite of the lot. I've got the best memories from my time there.

"That's where I started my career and where I played against the likes of Arsenal, Aston Villa and Charlton.

"I really enjoyed the whole day when we played at Highbury and I had some good times there, especially when we beat Charlton in the Worthington Cup."

Louis added: "I really don't know how Oxford will do this season.

"At the moment it's a bit of a lottery and the best team at the start of the league is not necessarily the one that wins it.

"I think as the season develops, the teams in the top six or seven will be the ones to watch. Remember, it's a marathon, not a 100-metre sprint."

Hopefully J-Lo will not be following the tradition of former OUFC players returning and looking like world-beaters, but could not previously hit the proverbial barn-door.

I have just gone out and bought a Setanta freeview box, please put on a good show tonight lads.

Jefferson Louis' a good lad. Had his best times at oxford yes, although why he didn't mention showing his backside on national TV as Oxford beat Swindon, as a highlight, is beyond me.
