Oxford United goalkeeper Billy Turley has taken his first steps back to first-team action by returning to the training pitch.
Turley has been on the sidelines since an operation on his shoulder in the summer.
But after seeing a specialist on Monday, he was given the thumbs up to work with his mentor Alan Hodgkinson yesterday.
Turley said: "The specialist was pleased with the progress. I'm determined to make him tear up his books and make a comeback in record time!
"I only went through a few light things with Hodgy today, nothing too strenuous, but it felt good to be back.
"It was cold, it was pouring with rain, and I loved every minute of it."
