Five rivers in Oxfordshire were today placed on flood watch.
The alert was put on the River Thames from Buscot down to Kings Lock, above Oxford, including Kelmscott, Radcot, Lower Bampton, Chimney, Newbridge, Northmoor, Stanton Harcourt, Bablockhythe and caravan park, Eynsham, Swinford and Yarnton.
The River Evenlode from Moreton-in-Marsh to Cassington, was also on alert, including Kingham, Bledington, Milton under Wychwood, Shipton-under-Wychwood, Ascott-under-Wychwood, Charlbury, Fawler and Long Hanborough and also the River Glyme at Wootton and Woodstock.
Also on alert is the catchment of the River Ray and its tributaries from near Shipton Lee to Islip, including Ludgershall, Blackthorn, Murcott, Wendlebury and Oddington.
A flood watch was also reimposed on the River Thame and Chalgrove Brook, after it had been lifted on Saturday.
The alert covers the river from Marsworth to Shillingford including, Long Marston, Rowsham, Cuddington, Thame, Shabbington, Ickford, Waterperry, Wheatley, Drayton St Leonard and Dorchester, and also the Chalgrove Brook at Chalgrove and Stadhampton.
A flood watch warning indicates that low-lying land and roads could be flooded.
