IN your edition of February 7, there was a letter praising Hereford County Hospital. I would like to add my voice to this, having recently spent another session there.
This was the fourth occasion, but this time unplanned after a fall when I broke my hip.
I was lucky enough to have the same excellent surgeon and to go again to Teme ward.
There I was looked after admirably by the nurses and also by all the ancillary staff. There are so many people involved on the ward – cleaners, those bringing up the meals, physiotherapists to name just a few. They were consistently friendly, competent and attentive.
In my admiration for Hereford hospital, and Teme ward in particular, I am joined by four other friends who, after a spell in the ward there, agree with all I’ve said.
I wish those who are so quick to denigrate our hospitals would spend a little more time finding out and recounting all the excellent practice that undoubtedly is still found in them.
